ABOUT
The Moose Hide Campaign is a Canadian movement to end violence against women and children. It began in 2011 when Paul and Raven Lacerte, a father and daughter from British Columbia, hunted a moose near the Highway of Tears—a place known for the tragic disappearances of Indigenous women. They used the moose hide to create small pins as a symbol of taking a stand against violence. Wearing a moose hide pin shows your commitment to creating safer communities. It’s a way to spark conversations, raise awareness, and support healing. The campaign encourages everyone especially men and boys to speak out, take action, and be part of the solution. Each year, Moose Hide Campaign Day brings people together across Canada for a day of learning, reflection, and ceremony.
